Welcome to our temple located deep in the Amazon rainforest near Sierra del Divisor
National Park in Contamana, Perú.
We strive to share the healing techniques and methods of the shipibo konibo healers with the help of the Amazonian plant medicine. To nourish the mind, body and spirit in order to live a peaceful and harmonious life.
ABOUT THE HEALING PROCESS:
PURGATIVE
The first day at the temple, starting Kushi with the Sangre
de Grado purgative supervised by the
maestros and facilitators, to receive all the
healing of the master plant dieta.
Croton lechleri, Sangre de Grado (Spanish), Dragon’s Blood (English), Jimi mosho (Shipibo).
At the start of our retreats all the participants receives the healing miracles of the Amazon. Sangre de grado beneficial for hemorrhaging, as an antiseptic vaginal , and, topically, for healing wounds. It is also used internally for ulcers in the mouth, throat, intestines, and stomach; as an antiviral for upper respiratory viruses, stomach viruses, and HIV; internally and externally for cancer and, topically, for skin disorders,
insect bites, and stings.
It is well-known in our Shipibo family to use it as a purgative and tonic.

VAPOR BATH

Second day at the temple we start the day with a powerful vapor bath or sauna prepared by the maestro.
The vapor bath uses water boiled with more than ten powerful medicinal plants from the Peruvian Amazon.
This is a very important aspect for healing the emotional, spiritual, and physical levels to receive the full benefit from the sacred plant medicines.
For some illnesses, the vapor bath consists of the most important part of the treatment.
PLANT BATH
In the Shipibo tradition, one of the steps to do a dieta and start the healing is to do a plant bath. In our tradition is a vital component of the shamanic healing process to receive the love and wisdom of the plants is this way to become like them.
It helps you in cleansing heavy energies or blockages, clearing negative thoughts or emotions, and promoting transformation to a better self. It is a further cleanse that also has aromatherapeutic effects.
A plant bath consists of a bathe in water that has had certain plants soaking in it. The patients then refrain from bathing as they normally would in order to let the plants soak into their systems through their skin.
SHEYOTI
The “Shëyoti” is an ancient technique of the Shipibo Conibo people which consist in massaging key power points on your abdomen to remove all kinds of stressors, emotional toxins that have been present in your body since childhood, pain, blockages, or “Jakoma niwebo”(bad air or bad energy) from the body with other important shamanic tools like mapacho, agua Florida and mentol or any other amazonian oil.
We consider this a very important part of the healing process. Shipibo Onanyabo (curanderos) believes that some of the most common illnesses and traumas gets stuck in the center of our body (where our energy is) when something bad has impacted our lives this energy gets stuck in our bodies and a way to remove it is by realizing this powerful Shëyo (massage).
REPOTI
The “Rëpoti” is a powerful method made to clean the sinus and boost immunity against allergies. The Shipibo have been using this method for decades to prevent some illnesses, it is very common to give it especially to children for laziness, to active
the mind and give strength to the body.
The Rëpoti is a liquid extract of two different plants:
•Mucura (Petiveria alliacea)
It has potential health benefits, it improves mental performance and immunity, reduced inflammation, pain, and anxiety. It may also have antioxidant, anticancer, and antimicrobial properties.
•Mapacho (Nicotiana rustica)
Cleanse your system energetically and physically. Flush out toxins from your body and strengthen your immune system. Anti-viral and anti-bacterial and knock out stubborn infections. Natural laxative effects that will improve your digestion. Clear flukes, parasites, fungus, and other pathogens from your system. And, It increases the potency of other herbs.
